Choose two teams with an even number of kids on each team. Designate a starting. This printable game is a must for your kids and a great game to play at a birthday party. When my kids were growing up they would play 'Don't Eat Pete' for hours. 'Don't Kiss The Frog' is a take off of 'Don't Eat Pete'. It is a simple game that requires the game board and candy.

You want to learn more about the life cycle of a frog? Well, let’s get ready for a super cool craft – a free life cycle of a frog story wheel. Interested in a video tutorial instead of a written blog post instead? Scroll down to the end of my post and find it there.

Have a toad-ally great time making this fun free story wheel!

How to make the free life cycle of a frog story wheel

Let’s start with making the free story wheel with the life cycle of a frog. First download the free printable by clicking the button above. Make sure you have scissor, thick letter-sized cardboard, glue and a split pin with you.

The first step is to glue the template on the cardboard. Next cut it along the lines. The rounded part can get tricky. Older kids can cut the template on their own, maybe they need a bit of help with those curvy edges.

The last step is to punch a hole with the scissor in the middle of the story wheel. Do it for both sides of the wheel. Then insert the split pin.

It’s as easy as one, two, three: you’ve made your very own cool life cycle of a frog story wheel.

Now use the wheel by moving it around and you will see the different stages of the life cycle of a frog. I also made a blank version – use it to write the different stages on the wheel with older kids.

By the way I illustrate all of my animals on my iPad Pro. If you want to check out cool merchandise or patterns with my illustrations visit my Spoonflower, Etsy and Red Bubble shop.

A little background info on my crafts

A little background info about my crafts: New year, new concept. I thought about the holidays (okay even into February and March), how I can increase the added value of my blog for you. Last year it was a bit difficult to keep up a regular posting routine besides my main job and playing with our little 5 year old. My goal is still to post once a week.

This was so difficult, because I packed so much DIY ideas into one post. That got me thinking: maybe I should do one post for one craft? And there it grew in my mind: my new concept. One post for one craft per week. You can scroll around, take a fun craft break with your kiddo and learn something together. How great is this? By the way, my crafts are especially suitable for children from three to 10 years. Perfect for preschool, but also for elementary school and even a little longer. Anyone who enjoys crafting can participate.
